Big start today, removing the rotten flooring, associated storage box’s at midship and stern and a quick clean inside.
Getting the old flooring up was relatively easy, as a lot of it had rotted through, which made it tricky when walking on it. Several times my boot went through with no harm to myself of the GRP floor beneath.
Once I had it all out of the boat, it was nice to see where I needed to go next. The original (as far as I know) stringers (made of hardwood) seem pretty good although they have suffered some water damage towards the bow area. These will be replaced, as will the three keels under the boat, but if anyone knows if the bolts on the inside of the boat that go into the keels actually go all the way through the underneath keels as well, I would very much appreciate some advice.
